Tempore, the utopia of subjective time.

Developed at the Politecnico di Torino, this editorial project spans from the conceptualization of a personal utopia to its full graphic and typographic materialization as a custom fanzine.

Conception

of the utopia

At the core of Tempore there is a personal utopia where time is deeply subjective—measured by the depth of experiences rather than ticking clocks. This concept comes to life through the encounter of Dean, driven by a fast-paced rhythm, and Edna, who embraces a slower, more contemplative tempo. Their meeting beautifully illustrates how two opposing rhythms can find mutual harmony and connection.

Graphic design

and layout

Visually, the fanzine captures this utopia through a symmetrical layout. Dean and Edna’s individual worlds unfold in black and white, converging at the center in a striking purple that marks their encounter. The design combines rhythmic typography with ethereal details: shimmering silver paper, abstract bitmap imagery, and surrealist touches. Interwoven with poetry, this visual journey guides the reader through an intimate and suspended narrative.
